ADHD and Food Intolerances

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), a behavioral disorder, is common in both children and adults who have trouble paying attention and staying on task. A common condition, it begins in early childhood and tends to carry into adulthood. Gone untreated, it leads to problems at home, school, in the workplace and within both superficial and interpersonal relationships. A lot of adults who have ADHD do not realize they do and can discover it when their children are diagnosed and treated. They then start to recognize their own symptoms.

Pros & Cons Of Food Intolerance Testing

Even with the last 50 years of massive scientific breakthrough, wonderful new techniques in surgery and fantastic new drugs to cure almost every ailment and disease, it seems to me that more and more people are having to live with health issues that no one seems to be able to successfully deal with. Suffering with conditions like irritable bowel syndrome, migraine, skin complaints, mood swings, chronic fatigue and after many unproductive trips to the GP’s an ever increasing number of people are searching elsewhere for a solution to their problem and a huge number of those are looking at food. We, in the UK, have 10,000 chemicals and additives in our food chain now that we didn’t have 50 years ago. (more…)

First-time Link Between Food Intolerance And Illness

Researchers from University College London have found compelling evidence for the first time to link food intolerances and serious illness. A six-month programme has shown potential links with foodstuffs and Crohn’s Disease, and ulcerative colitis.
